Spooky Halloween FUNdraiser!

Help Parrots While Having Fun

We will be introducing a new book coming soon called Prion.

It is a novel about parrots, pandemics, promises and redemption by Rev. Dr. LoraKim Joyner, Co-Director of One Earth Conservation

We have been incredibly busy at One Earth Conservation in 2020. The pandemic has altered how we support people and parrots where they are, for our projects have actually grown during the time of the pandemic, as has the need.  No matter where you are you can help us help parrots and the people they fly over. And have fun while doing so!

Part One of putting the fun in fundraiser:

Virtual Halloween Party, October 30, 2020, 7:00pm to 8:00pm. EDT.  During our time together you will be the first to experience Rev. Dr. LoraKim Joyner’s new book, Prion, in a live dramatization of the first chapter, which is a real cliffhanger. We will also have a costume contest with prizes (although attendance in costumes is optional) and even if you can’t attend, you can still enter the contest by emailing in a photo of yourself in costume with a $5 donation.

The book is a parrot pandemic thriller with apocalyptic zombie overtones, and hence, if your costume reflects a parrot zombie theme, all the better!  Depending on your ticket purchase level, we will send you a copy of the book, which will be published soon. We will gladly highlight any individual, organization or business that donates $100 or more during the event on our event slideshow. At the end of the event there will be a chance to socialize with each other while participants show off their costumes (video appearance on Zoom is optional). Please plan on attending at any level you can for all funds raised go to help parrots throughout the Americas.

To email a photo of yourself in costume and/or a slide for the slide show ($100 ticket level or more), email files to: info@onearthconservation.org.

Watch for more information about Part Two, which will be held on Friday, December 4 from 7:00pm to 8:00 p.m. EST. More information will be forthcoming about this second event, but it will include an additional dramatization from the book, a video contest, and more!
